Fathers & Daughters Fly Fishing Adventure
August 6–9, 2025 | Buffalo Fork, Teton Wilderness, Wyoming
Unplug. Reconnect. Share the adventure of a lifetime.
As an outfitter and guide, I hear it all the time: “You’re so lucky to hunt and fish every day.” And I don’t disagree—but the truth is, I’m not just in the hunting and fishing business. I’m in the people business. It just so happens that the people we’re blessed to work with are hunters, anglers, and sometimes, fathers and daughters looking to create something unforgettable.
This August, Graylight Outfitters invites you to join us for a 4-day, 3-night guided father-daughter fly fishing trip deep in Wyoming’s Teton Wilderness—along the remote and scenic Buffalo Fork of the Snake River.
This isn’t a resort. It’s not roadside fishing. To get here, you and your daughter will ride 12 miles on horseback into one of the most remote wilderness camps in the lower 48. But once you arrive, the reward is undeniable: wild water, native fish, quiet forests, and uninterrupted time together.
Our backcountry base camp sits right on the Buffalo Fork, a classic freestone stream known for its cold, clear flows and thriving population of native Snake River cutthroat trout. These wild fish are dry-fly friendly and make for a perfect introduction for kids, or a dream experience for seasoned anglers. Whether you’re brand new or have fished together before, this family fly fishing vacation is about creating time and space to connect.
Days will be spent casting to rising trout in clear, unpressured water. Your Wyoming fly fishing guide will provide personalized instruction, support, and local knowledge to help make each moment count. Evenings bring hearty meals, time around the campfire, and the kind of conversations you remember forever.
As a dad of three daughters myself, this trip means a lot to me. Watching a father take the time to teach his daughter how to fish—and seeing that shared experience grow into trust, confidence, and lifelong connection—is the part of this work that matters most. That’s what this trip is really about.
